Overview of ICO Outings

NYC ICO takes participants on a variety of outings with the goal of helping them gain an appreciation for the out-of-doors and a better understanding of the natural world.

This section provides reports and photos from past ICO outings as well as a link to our online Meetup.com calendar of future events. In order to view our online calendar, you will need to attend a New Volunteer Orientation and be an active member of NYC ICO. For information about volunteering with NYC ICO, see the Become a Volunteer page and/or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The menu at the right provides a guide to some of our outings and provides ideas for our leaders. Some trip ideas, particularly the camping ideas, may provide opportunities for multiple type of activities. We also take advantage of the many opportunities in New York City itself to experience nature. You might also be interested in seeing our Scouting Reports, longer overviews of specific outings ideas.

We invite you to dip in and see the variety of outings activities we pursue.
