Nature Preserves

Destination: Jamaica Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, Queens, NY

Helpful Information: This is a relatively short trip and can be reached by subway.  The wildlife refuge is the home of a wide variety of land and aquatic birds.  It is an especially good trip for the spring or fall during migration season.

Directions: Take NYC subway ("A" train) to Broad Channel Stop and walk from there.
